Inspiron 24-7459, upgrade from HDD to SSD?

Hi everyone,

I have an Inspiron 24-7459 all in one PC with a 1TB HDD and 32GB SSD M.2 cache drive pre installed. I want to change the HDD to an SSD and leave out the M.2 cache drive so it runs from an SSD boot drive only. My device is nearly 3 years out of warranty. I looked through the service manuals and there's a section on removing and replacing the 2.5" hard drive bay but nothing on whether it's compatible with a full SSD. I had a look online and found some 2.5" SSD with 1TB storage from Kingston, but I'm not sure if this will be compatible with my PC. I looked on this website as an example and clicked the SSD upgrades tab which shows the list of SSD upgradable for this PC:

https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/ssd-upgrades/dell/inspiron-all-in-one/24-7459

Does the Inspiron 24-7459 AIO support a full SSD? And does the website above show the SSD that are compatible with this PC?

Thanks

Yes you can replace the HDD with an SSD. Up to 2 TB will work as described in the Crucial web site.

Thank you for this! I am thinking to replace my 1TB HHD to an SSD. Follow-up question: does it have to be the crucial list you provide? Or I can go to Bestbuy and find any 2.5inch SSD up to 2TB?
